Roger Farrington is based in Jamaica Plain, just a few minutes from the heart of downtown Boston.

Photographs and editorial highlighting Farrington's clients have appeared in publications from around the globe including; Time, Newsweek, People, Parade, Vogue, Town & Country, US, In Style, Paris Match, Food & Wine, Bon Appétit, Industrial Photography, Photo District News, The New York Times, Boston Magazine, Boston Common, Boston Globe and Boston Herald. Farrington Event Photography and Publicity regularly services over 50 Greater Boston media outlets for Boston's top openings, fundraisers and charitable events.

As a Public Relations consultant, Farrington specializes in providing a complete range of services – including photography - to small and mid-sized, arts organizations, health and medical related organizations and other not-for-profit cultural institutions.

Roger Farrington began his career at the Charles Playhouse where he shot publicity photos for over 25 professional and Equity Off-Broadway shows. Trained as a theatrical publicity photographer, Farrington moved into Boston's emerging restaurant, hospitality and boutique retail industry, opening over 50 major new hotels, top restaurants, urban malls and high-end boutique shops. From the mid '90's to present day, Farrington has concentrated on linking the city's unprecedented growth to Boston's top charitable fundraising organizations.

Created and produced "Boston People", the city's first weekly pictorial photo column for The Boston Ledger, featuring candid photographs of the city's top charitable events. "Boston People" quickly became an elite reference guide, a "who's who" of Boston and the column where everyone wished to be seen in.

Created and produced the popular "Proper Bostonians" full page bi-monthly pictorial spread in The Improper Bostonian, documenting the city's top events, openings and black-tie galas. The popularity of this column helped propel the Improper from Brookline to Newbury Street.

Created and produced the popular "Reporter RSVP" full page monthly pictorial spread in Boston Magazine featuring the city's top movers and shakers attending "A" list events.

Worked with The Boston Globe's Living/Arts editors and columnists to transform the popular "Names & Faces" column from mostly national in scope to one with a discerning local eye towards Boston's nightlife scene. Farrington has placed hundreds of images in "Names" for countless local and national clients.

Created and produces the popular "Out & About" weekly photo column in The Beacon Hill Times and The Back Bay Sun, featuring events and people of note from throughout the city.

With Secret Service White House clearance, Farrington has been hired to photograph many U.S. and foreign Presidents and dignitaries including; President Bush (Sr. & Jr.), President Clinton, Hilary Clinton, HRH Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, Madeline Albright, President Zhao of China, Queen Noor of Jordan, and Queen Sirikit of Thailand. Celebrities caught by Farrington's lens over the years are too numerous to count, but a memorable list would include; Frank Sinatra, Al Pacino, Conan O'Brien, Lisa Minnelli, Richard Prior, Tea Leoni, Dave Matthews, Kevin Costner, Lucianno Pavarotti, Susan Sarandon, Donnie Wahlberg, Mat Damon, Billy Joel, Elton John, Vanna White, and Cher.

One of John Lennon's Last Photographers…
One of Farrington's most memorable bodies of work, which earned him much acclaim, was photographed in 1980 when he was hired by Yoko Ono to be the exclusive photographer for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's initial recording session for "Double Fantasy", his last album. The photographs were published worldwide and have been included in two books.
